Mr Dare, from Lewisham, south London, is the father of Grace (Khadijah) Dare, who is living in Syria. She left London and married a Swedish jihadi fighter, Abu Bakr, who is now dead.

They, and the boy, featured in footage exclusively obtained by Channel 4 News from the American Muslim convert and film-maker Bilal Abdul Kareem and first broadcast in 2013 (watch video below).

Isa Dare, whose mother Grace wants to become the first British woman to execute a western hostage, was nicknamed “Jihadi Junior” after appearing in the film and talking of killing “kuffars” or non-believers.

Grace Dare, 24, who changed her name to Khadijah after converting to Islam as a teenager, is a former media studies student who is suspected of producing the slick video, in which five hostages are shot dead before Isa appears in the final seconds, dressed in camouflage gear and a black Isil headband.
