The assault is the latest in an intensifying three-year insurgency in the country's north which has killed at least 1,300 people and threatened plans worth billions to turn Mozambique into the 'Qatar of Africa.'

Centrica, British Gas's parent company, has pledged to buy 2.6 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas from the Afungi peninsula for the next 20 years.

Sure wish I had those two goats in the last image. Neuman(BIG white colored mutt neutered buck) passed away from old age & Pandora(Black Pygmy doe) contacted a gut infection(rare for a goat) that took her down like died in my arms on the vets medical exam table. Back on subject now; those jjjjumpin jjjjihadist terrorists are just one more sect of the global statist left cult. My fellow Americans have been getting quite a show from the statist left the last several months. The next few months should be even better as it will be replete with full bore warp 10 senile attacks by the narcissistic plagued statist left. Come election time make sure to... bring your camera for you will never be able to remember it all!!!

Radical Islam has been around for 1400 years. And as long as Islam has followers, there will always be radical Islamists. Their group names may change, but it’s the same shit show: convert or die. If you want to lick their boots and let them take over your island, then go ahead. The rest of us however, know how to deal with them.

Well, it's hard to get people trying to juggle three or four part time jobs just to pay high rents and utilities to give a shit about plumbing problems in Albania or Jihadi massacre #3,154, 980,752 in Yemen yesterday. I never get survey calls from some newspaper in Malaysia or Tibet wanting to know about our local problems here, either. I get all the foriegn news I can absorb in The Economist every week. They're behind pay walls, like the WSJ, so no point in starting threads on their articles here since that requires 'Links' which no one will be able to read anyway. Want to guarantee a thread goes nowhere, just cite a book. At one time not long ago, nearly every moderately read person into following politics would have read books like Hugh Davis Graham's or William Safire's, but not now; more people know about Madonna's face lifts than have ever heard of either of those two writers.

The more stress a society is under or perceives itself to be under in general, the more inward it turns. A crappy education system helps to magnify that.

If we need to know about the 'bigger world', we just go to the Bigger World Message Board.

Yea 'primarily,' but in truth there is very little other.

Of course it has long been known that American Politicians are hopeless and deficient in their knowledge of the rest of the world.

Bush famously couldn't name "The General" that he kept referring too - President General Pervez Musharraf one of his chief allies in his 'war on terror.'

More recently Trump asked if Finland was in Russia. And didn't he think they speak Australian in Austria?

As for the US message boards - exactly how many different reasons are there for slagging off both Nancy Pelosi & Kamala Harris? Don't you think it gets a bit boring after the two hundredth attack on each?
And how many more times do we need to be told that BLM/Antifa are Marxist revolutionaries intent on destroying the US, when in fact they are just exercising their democratic right to protest. The repetition of such threads is USMB's stand out feature, unfortunately. Such threads are only funny initially, but repeated over and over they become boring.

ISIS One of the legacy's of Bush's war on Terror are by no means a spent force. OZ

Today, along with three other neighbouring islands, militants calling themselves Islamic State Central Africa Province have commandeered the white sands.
It comes after IS last month captured and established Sharia law in the nearby strategic port town of Mocimboa da Praia on the mainland, in the gas-rich province of Cabo Delgado.
The assault is the latest in an intensifying three-year insurgency in the country's north which has killed at least 1,300 people and threatened plans worth billions to turn Mozambique into the 'Qatar of Africa.'
Mocimboa da Praia lies less than 50 miles south of Afungi peninsula where a liquefied natural gas facility, one of Africa's biggest single investment projects, is located.
It is believed that ISIS may use their new islands to launch amphibious assaults to cut off these lucrative supply lines.
Energy companies have been forced to build new facilities to avoid contact with the insurgents and villages along the edge of the zone are often raided, The Times reports.
Britain is supporting the development of the gas field with a £1 billion loan.
Centrica, British Gas's parent company, has pledged to buy 2.6 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas from the Afungi peninsula for the next 20 years.
A resident of Mecungo island told AFP that the ISIS fighters arrived under cover of darkness and rounded up the villagers.
'They told us to run if we want to live. Everyone left the island,' the resident said.
The majority Muslim population of the northernmost Cabo Delgado province, which borders Tanzania, is also the location of one of the world's largest ruby mines.

The newfound naval prowess of the ISIS militants and their strategic bases on the coast has caused concern among security analysts.
The IS-affiliated group has the stated goal of establishing a caliphate in the region. In addition it has threatened 'franchise' attacks in South Africa if it deploys troops to help its neighbour. ISCAP has claimed several attacks since June 2019 via social media, often posting images of slain soldiers and caches of weapons. Share or comment on this article:

You would probably have to fight a couple of ISIS members if you wanted to take their wives....
