Good point, but third party campaigns run on shoestring budgets, and Democrats won't challenge him in battleground states, so minimal legal fees.

With no party infrastructure I don’t see it going very far without ripping the Republicans in two. They’re already a minority and I don’t think there’d be enough independents interested in a Trump party to pick up the slack.
