Republicans in Congress had lavishly funded ICE's invasions with billions of taxpayer dollars, and a reminder of that should be helpful for voters in November.

It looks like Trump is already preparing to blame others for the killing of Americans with no criminal records, and desperate attempts to make them into "domestic terrorists."

The video evidence and eyewitness accounts expose the lies that the Trumpers have ben spewing.

ICE's operations haven't been a disaster at all. Literally millions of child molesters, rapists, sex traffickers and narco-terrorist kingpins have been arrested and kicked out of the country.

NAMBLA and other liberal pressure groups might not like ICE, and they are getting soft brained individuals to commit suicide-by-ICE, but most people are cool with Trump, Homan and ICE.

Murder rate has gone down, ditto with the number of drug overdose deaths across the fruited plane.

His Excellency the Great and Powerful trump is sending Homan to straighten things out. The guy who took a $50K bribe in a paper bag. Greg Bovino should be worried he's about to become Don's latest scapegoat. After all, someone else has to take the fall for The Infallible and Magnificent trump.

With Trump's disapproval numbers soaring, the convicted felon/sexual abuser/business fraud may struggle to find enough folks to blame for his dismal failures.

The country is horrified by abuses committed using hundreds of millions in tax dollars. According to a recent survey from Data for Progress, 55% of voters think any increased funding for immigration enforcement agencies is a bad use of taxpayer money. New York Times polling released on Friday, meanwhile, found that 61% of people believe ICE’s tactics have “gone too far.”
This week, the Senate is meeting to vote on six government funding bills ahead of a Jan. 30 government shutdown deadline. If Congress now renews the ICE budget with no strings attached, it will become complicit in the violence, violations of rights, and chaos ICE is fomenting every day.

Trump knows that his invasions of America's cities by his masked gunmen has made them less safe and, politically, it is a nuclear stinkbomb detonating in his jumbo-size frillies.

[Minneapolis Mayor Jacob] Frey said he asked Trump in a phone call to end the immigration enforcement surge and that Trump agreed the present situation cannot continue.
The mayor said some agents would soon leave and that he would keep pushing for others involved in Operation Metro Surge to go...
[Senior Border Patrol commander Greg] Bovino has been at the center of the administration’s aggressive enforcement surge in cities nationwide. His departure marks a significant public shift in federal law enforcement posture amid mounting outrage over the fatal shooting of 37-year-old ICU nurse Alex Pretti by Border Patrol agents, the second fatal shooting by federal immigration officers this month.

Illegals mut go. These monsters are bankrupting america. There are MILLIONS of illegal families that collect $100,000+ in freebies every year. If they have 4 kids in our schools that's $100,000 right there. Then there's the free health care at ERs and welfare-medicaid freebies

The demonization of what are, overwhelmingly, hard-working families who may not have the proper papers, and the invasions of neighborhoods by shooty, masked goons is fizzling, and Trump may have picked his scapegoat to blame for his bloody fiasco:

The convicted felon is now skulking away from his deadly invasions of Democratic cities.

Trump has even seemed to see the writing on the wall and has attempted to turn the ship around to some degree. He told The Wall Street Journal that he was not sure if the agent who shot and killed Pretti acted appropriately — walking back comments made by Noem, among others.
Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche furthered that effort Monday, saying in an interview that Pretti’s actions do not amount to domestic terrorism, as Noem and adviser Stephen Miller had initially charged.

There is some unconfirmed reporting from the Atlantic that Bovino is being sent back to CA and that he will "retire" soon.

Greg Bovino Loses His Job

Gregory Bovino has been removed from his role as Border Patrol “commander at large” and will return to his former job in El Centro, California, where he is expected to retire soon, according to a DHS official and two people with knowledge of the change.

Bovino’s sudden demotion is the clearest sign yet that the Trump administration is reconsidering its most aggressive tactics after the killing Saturday of 37-year-old Alex Pretti by Border Patrol agents under Bovino’s command.

As I said on this thread, he should be worried trump is about to throw him under the proverbial bus.

Presumably they did at least some kind of cost/benefit analysis, assumed there would be pushback (probably violent at some point) and decided that it wouldn't hurt them enough politically.

And/or, they plan on keeping power regardless of what the public thinks, so the politics of this really don't matter.

We can't look to America's past for any help on this one. What's happening here right now isn't American.
