1. What I am saying is that I sort of miss the insane arguments and claims posed by Democrats prior to the election, a bit of confrontation to make the blood boil......it's gone.

2. Mayor Bowser has admitted the improvemnt in safety in D.C.

3. There is no recession on the horizon.

4. Have you seen gas prices?

5.Name the issue and the Trump Administration is pitching a no-hitter against the Democrats, and not only does the party know it, but the lack of and the sort of posts we saw from Democrats before the election have disappeared.

The atmosphere here was more engaging when there was engaging when there was any actual doubt as to who was right.

Economic growth would almost undoubtedly be higher. The job market would almost certainly be better. Inflation would most likely be lower.

Gas prices might be a little higher.

Because that's what we saw under the Biden-Harris leadership?

Partisans Tell Different Economic and Political Stories

Whether saying Trump is responsible for today’s economy is a criticism or compliment depends on one’s view of the economy. Overall, Americans who rate the economy as either excellent or good are split between assigning responsibility to Biden (37%), Trump (34%), and both or neither (28%).

2024 was a very strong year from an economic perspective. GDP growth was 2.8%. About 2 million jobs created. Inflation falling consistently below 3%. Interest rates decreasing.

Things are much more shaky this year.

Considering all issues, crime, economy, alien invasion, world conditions, would you still have voted for Harris if the election were today?

"Why I left the Democratic Party after voting for Kamala Harris — and why others will follow

After decades of being a loyal Democrat and voting a straight Democratic ticket in every election — including the most recent one — I have left the Democratic Party.

I’ve been concerned about the direction of the party for a while now, but I was hoping it would correct itself. I was certain it would do so after getting completely hammered in the last election.

But I was wrong. The Democratic Party seems determined to continue its headlong march into the oblivion of identity politics."

Yep, that's what we need, 2 million more government employees and illegal immigrant jobs. Hell, maybe all the illegals could become truck drivers, we know how well that works...moron.

- Illegals would be streaming in at a rate of 200.000+ per month.

- Iran would be dangerously close to having nukes.

- The leftist universities would have ramped up antisemitism and UCLA’s “No Jews Zones” would still be up.

Tel Aviv would likely be a glowing, smoking crater in the ground.

Well, I suppose one could argue that had Kamala won, we would have seen seismic changes in Washington.
  1. We might have seen our president on all fours on the Resolute Desk deep throating a purple dildo.
  2. We might have had an administration where everyone in it was a transsexual sporting green hair and nose rings.
  3. We probably would have had Beyonce or Oprah as our VP and gotten a pop rock concert at the White House every week with all of them shaking their booty at the camera.
  4. Trump would be in jail by now, found dead of suicide having hung himself with a bedsheet only 4 feet off from the floor.

Considering all issues, crime, economy, alien invasion, world conditions, would you still have voted for Harris if the election were today?
Easily yes.

Trump is doing serious damage to our institutions and our country in addition to the fact that our country looks like a joke.

Out of those 2 million jobs added, 40k were federal employees.

Sometimes you do need government employees. I wish my DMV had twice as many people working there. I like being able to go to a national park and have clean facilities. I want NIH training new researchers.

Well, he sure is doing serious damage to foreign criminals who want to come here illegally…..the violent thugs in DC….the nuke ambitions of the Islamic terrorist regime….the antisemites setting up barriers on campus to keep Jews out….and able-bodied welfare leeches who won’t even work 20 hours a week….

Immediately after the election, a handful of socks were activated to do nothing but make nonsensical anti trump posts. the Democrats who had been willing to seriously debate suddenly weere not showing their faces, so to speak on this board.

It's sad to say that many of us were willing to engage these obvious trolls, because there was nobody else to debate.

Now some of these serious debaters are back, but unfortunately, the serious debate is not.

One cannot argue that we would have been better off with kamala using facts or logic. i give some credit for Marener for trying. That is one of the former serious debaters that were awol during the month or so right after the election.

He or she tries. But as another poster pointed out, any attempt to claim, we'd be better off with more of the Biden-Harris Administration cannot pass the giggle test.

Just for a single example, five thousand plus new illegal aliens given asylum per day. in exchange for what? For more border patrol agents to "process" the asylum seekers. Yes, never forget that that was a serious proposal yhat was even supported by some RINO republicans.

That was democrats and "not democrats'" idea of border security.

I don't think kicking out illegal immigrants who are just here to work is helping anyone. Certainly sending them to foreign prisons without human rights damages the integrity of our country.

The damage to Iranian nuclear facilities is not clear and never going to be a permanent solution. Obama did a far better job at managing the Iranian nuclear weapon program. Firing the head of the agency that said the strike wasn't that effective shows that this government is not interested in integrity.

Taking health care away from poor people doesn't really help me any. It just makes the healthcare system that much more fragile.

Economically we are doing worse.

Reputationally we are doing worse.

Spiritually we are doing worse.

This is the enshittification of the United States.

To be clear, you are admitting what the Right has claimed about the Marxist direction of the current Democrat Party, and you would still vote Democrat.

Is that correct?

The Mamdani Democrat party stands for abolishing private property, socialis/communism, anti-Semitism, and racism.

And a Dem Senator said this should be the direction of the party.

Obama has made it clear he is down with this Marxist.

The problem is you don't really understand what you're talking about.

The bill would have sped up asylum processing and legislated more strict requirements for asylum.

As for as limits, the fact is that ANY limitations are more strict than the ZERO limitations that existed then and still exist today.

The bill was subject to misinformation and propaganda from Trump and his minions who are very good at doing so.

None of that is true.

Trump is taking control of private industry and you're worried about Mamdani opening a few grocery stores. Seems like you are not thinking logically.
