Is there an end game to all the illegal firings?

Meh.........sixteen year olds say stupid things. That's why they have no adult legal status.

However, the dems want to make them eligible to vote.............

Libs don't get the subtlety of not approving the words, yet not canceling someone.

Woke--a religion of judgment but no mercy

Here's another to add to the growing list.

Democratic FEC Chair Ellen Weintraub says Trump fired her. She says it's not legal.

Ellen Weintraub, the current Federal Election Commission Chair and one of three Democratic members on the committee, posted a letter on X Thursday night from President Trump that says she has been removed as an FEC member.

The brief letter, dated January 31, 2025, reads, "You are hereby removed as a Member of the Federal Election Commission."

On Thursday night, Weintraub alleged her firing was not legal.

"There's a legal way to replace FEC commissioners-this isn't it," she wrote in her social media post. "I've been lucky to serve the American people & stir up some good trouble along the way. That's not changing anytime soon."

I just watched her be interviewed about the "firing." She notes the legal way to remove a FEC board member is to replace him or her after their term has expired. In its 50 year history no prez has tried to illegally fired a board member as trump has.

Weintraub's is not the only example of a government official being illegally fired. The list is actually quite long. In most instances they aren't really close calls. The legislative acts creating the agencies established the ways in which members cab be removed. trump is not following those procedures.

So, the end game is..........? I would say trump is attempting to take over all government functions by installing loyalists in all the key positions, while removing anyone who might object to his agenda. The FEC is primarily the agency monitoring campaign contributions. The motivation for having friendly board members seems clear enough. Its mandate calls for the 6 member board to have 3 Repubs and 3 Dems with a D and R rotating as chairman each year. It's designed to be apolitical and therefore is antithetical to Don's desire to politicize everything. Should he get away with it just because he won an election?
It's a coup.

He wasn't 16.

78% approval rating......first amendment guarantees the right to be racist.

It does. There is no 78% approval rating but sadly it is too high. It should be about 2% but sadly hate reigns supreme.

Correct.

It’s also part of Trump’s unwarranted hostility to sound, responsible governance, by placing those unfit and incompetent in positions of power.

Not according to hundreds of thousands of people on X.

And he's back on the job, hacking democrat treachery with our tax dollars.

Winning

I've long understood much of this was about hateful racism.

He's trying to prevent the open lawfare that was waged against him during his first term.

He's trying to prevent the Deep State from operating their own policy separate from those of elected officials.

Nothing more to it than that.

Relax.

Yes there is an end game....It's two fold...Saving America from the liberal bureaucracy, that acts like a fourth, unelected column of our government by gutting, and downsizing it. And, two, saving American's trillions of their tax dollars being flushed down the toilet by liberal initiatives....

It's your consequence for letting it become so corrupt, and bloated, while lining your own pockets...Deal with it.

I think the end game is the hope forcing these cases in to the courts will ultimately result in expanding presidential power. Which is the grand design behind virtually everything he's doing.

It is possible in the short term until the make up of the court changes. The only problem with the theory though the current SCOTUS may not be willing to undermine its newly established major questions doctrine to give Trump that authority. It could come down to which they see as more important---Trump having more power and thereby the next dem having more power, or the holding Congress's feet to the fire on specifically authorizing things.

Defending and supporting it.
No, supporting our constitutional protections which apparently you view through a different prism.
Protecting is the ACLU suing to allow the KKK to march in a parade.
Or watching people burn our flag or peddle porn......I don't like either but I respect their right to do so.

Or you being an abject fool.

It is remarkable in the extreme that when a public sector entity does what private sector entities do as a matter of routine, it become an outrage...inexplicable.

So Trump and his posse are firing a lot of people in the Executive Department of the Federal government. This happens ALL THE TIME in the private sector, and PEOPLE SURVIVE!

Every large company in the U.S. has periodic downsizing, reorganization, department consolidations, layoffs. They accompany mergers, newly appointed executives, bad fiscal quarters, recessions or industry-specific downturns. The phenomenon is absolutely routine.

Most of the time when headcount is reduced, in a fairly short period of time the people who are gone are no longer missed. Rarely, someone is let go who is more important that was thought, and they are brought back (if they are willing).

I personally worked for DoD for eight years, and in my office (Defense Logistics Agency), a fifty-percent headcount reduction would have resulted in no deterioration of function, if the right 50% remained.

The idea that ANY large organization would be crippled by a 10% reduction is simply false, and 10% is Musk's wildest dream - it will never come to that.

These layoffs are no big deal to the tax-paying public. No fun for the individuals involved, who may or may not deserve it, but that's life. Deal with it.

You are participating in it by defending it. Let me hear you condemn the guy and explain why anyone should be defending his words.
