That was a bad time. My wife and myself were getting divorced. Some of my friends in same spot. The steel mill had closed down. We lost our jobs (healthcare and house note, truck note) to Chicoms. One of our friends had committed suicide. That Daytona was the last time we were all together for a race. And cookout. Went our separate ways after that. Most have died off now. But that night a part of America died. Dale Earnhardt’s death was like an omen that the United States, and our lives would never be the same again. It just made me realize at that moment that a transformation had occurred in my life.

Betcha don't know who that is..

Taylor...

Damn..impressive

bear513 there was a time 25 years ago I did not miss a race... Unfortunately I haven't seen a race in probably 10 years, maybe longer... My last roadtrip was to Bristol Spring race and I think it was either 06 or 07... Hell I was a Chad Little fan, so you know I was eat up…

Martinsville
Charlotte
Divorce, Parents dying, my own health... Shit gets in the way... Had a good time no matter what those elitist snobby non-nascar lovin asshole's say or do...

I was a “soldier” for 6 years before joined Marine Corps. But after the Corps I’m not a soldier anymore.
