The countries with the most terrorism in the world are Muslim ones.

So, the question is not if people believe in a God. The question becomes, what kind of God? Is it a God based on jihad and vigilantly vengeance, like we see from the Left 24/7 who don't even believe in a God as they try to assassinate political opponents or burn down cities or Tesla dealerships, or a God that says, "Vengeance is mine says the Lord, I will repay" and a God that teaches to forgive and walk peaceably with all men if possible?

I think that was the cause of the crime increase in the US in the 70's and 80's.

The current problem is brought on by reversing the solutions proposed during the 90's and 2000's. Vigorous policing, broken windows policing, and sticking to punishments and prosecutions.

No, crime is not actually rising. But the question "Is crime rising and morals decreasing due to decreasing religious believers" makes no sense regardless. Is "morals decreasing"? No, perhaps morals {plural} are doing something. Also, even for cave dwellers, questions should end with a question mark. Given crime were up and morals have declined where you happen to reside, I'd be considering improving minimum education and living standards.

Now it is Ok to "act out" for social justice no matter who you may hurt or how much property you destroy in the interim cuz our cause is righteous don't ya know!! A pastor whose church I used to attend even shut down the church because of Covid, but then praised people gathering together to protest with the Left after that one black guy was killed by a white police officer. So, it was Ok to close down the church to avoid gathering to pray to God but not to cancel the protests where no one wore a mask.

And God forbid you put people behind bars, cuz the police of systemically racist and jails are fascist, unless you are white. Then you probably deserve anything you get.

State run schools are largely to blame. I know of several bus drivers, neither of them knew the other, who quit because kids would come up to them and curse them up one side and down the other, and if the bus driver attempted to discipline them in any way they would either get fired or sued or both.

Perhaps the most important part of ones education is to become a moral human being that respect authority, but according to the Left, education is there just to learn gender pronouns and DEI history and to turn them all into socialists.

Child discipline is in the Bible and it needs to be done.
You have to set boundaries for children, or else the government will have to.
And if that happens? You may have been a bad parent or not.

Sorry, juxtaposed may have confused a few. Crime increasing and morals decreasing is at the same speed/rate that religion is decreasing. I hope that helps your dilemma.

My bias in this discussion is that I am a Christian who regularly intends church. I have read the Bible several times from cover to over, including the Apocrypha in several different English translations.

Nevertheless, Europeans are known to be less religious than Americans. European countries have lower crime rates.

A reasonable definition of "being religious" would be "attending a church or synagogue regularly." I suspect that those who do so have lower crime rates than those who do not, but I would like to see statistics on this.

Crime has been decreasing all over the free world for decades. We live in the safest societies in world history.

The USA’s “crime problem” is related to the accessibility of guns which continues unabated.

The rest of the first world has much freer and safer societies because few people have guns.
