I stopped reading when I got to this oft-repeated
ipse dixit: "63 million Americans voted for Trump in 2016. Most are still around in 2020, and many are disappointed with Trump."
These op-eds continue to regurgitate this line, despite poll after poll confirming consistent 94-95% job approval among Republicans. Moreover, there were
185 million active registered voters at the time of the the 2016 election. Taking his recent 49% job approval by registered voters, that puts him at a potential 90 million votes this time around, and that's if he only gets the votes of those who approve of his performance. So get a new line. The line "many are disappointed with Trump" is tired and rings disingenuous.
Or as Pogo might put it, "many" could fit in my Tahoe, depending on how this journalist is defining the word. Doesn't make that a significant percentage.
