I'm Jewish, not Christian, but Gabbard is 100% correct. Our Western values revolved around Christianity both socially and spiritually to a large extent (of course, if it weren't for Judaism, Christianity would not exist, but I digress). When it comes down to Christendom vs. Islam, we have to all come together to ensure Islam does NOT win! Christendom is far more libertine, freedom oriented, and diverse than Islam, and thus represents a better representation of humanity as a whole than Islam. Islam is largely a perversion and a parasite upon the larger busom of our biosphere. Eventually, it will either have to assimilate, or be exiled into the solar system when we have better extraplanetary colonization abilities in the 2100's and on.

Islamics appear to be theocrats 666, in the sense that they can't separate their religious ideology from their politics

I’m fairly sure you are wrong. While I’m fairly sure they were all God fearing men, I believe they were secure enough in their faith to accept other people’s right to worship God in their own way.

Religious people who argue with other religious people over God are as bad as the militant atheists that condemn respect for people of faith.

There is a huge gap in principles. I am not sure there is such a thing as forgiveness in their philosophy. The Jewish have softened up in this regard over the years, but these guy's seem to be systemically self serving. Self centered. Kind of like the fire-and-brimstone Christians, but with absolutely no room for the things that make us human beings. Very much like the Russian attitude.

Unfortunately, when we have a commander in chief that bombs 70+ targets for reasons that they do not know about, and thinking they will somehow "teach them a lesson" (Syria)...it doesn't leave much room to persuade the local population that we are the good guy's.

And to be generous with rewards to those who stepped forward. Instead, we now have another 10,000 jihadists in that region. Sad. "Very sad" and stupid.
