Zone1 Is is a violation of U.S. law for a govt official to help law-breakers evade capture?

For your information Lisa, it is my position that the Christian Zionists are far more noxious than the Jewish version, but it is close.
And why in the world would you be opposed to the existence of one tiny Jewish state? You certainly don’t ***** about the 20+ Muslim states!

The answer is: JEWISH state.

We're guessing you are an Islamist Jihadist engaging taqqyah.
That’s what I think, too. The Muslims from foreign countries come onto this website, and the giveaway is they always choose very Anglican names.

They prove such by starting out to be here legally.

If they have entered illegally they have already broken at least one law and therefore are criminal the moment they crossed our borders without LEGAL permission.

QED
I agree with all that, but my question wasn't answered. What about those honest individuals who really DO want to get right with the law. Even the IRS has rules in force that work with those who accidentally happen to be delinquent on their taxes.

^^^ hates Jews, loves illegals.

No. Its freedom of speech.

What constitutes federal obstruction of justice?

There are 21 specific types of obstruction of justice listed in Title 18, Chapter 73 of the U.S. Code, including:

  • Influencing a juror by writing (1504)
  • Obstruction of proceedings before department, agencies and committees (1505)

  • Recording, listening to or observing proceeding or grand juries while deliberating or voting (1508)
  • Obstruction of court orders (1509)
  • Obstruction of criminal investigations (1510)

  • Retaliating against a witness, victim or informant (1513)
  • Civil action to restrain harassment of a victim or witness (1514)
  • Civil action to protect against retaliation in fraud cases (1514A)
  • Definitions for certain provisions (1515)
  • Obstruction of a federal audit (1516)
  • Obstructing examination of a financial institution (1517)
  • Obstruction of criminal investigations of health care crimes (1518)
  • Destruction, alteration or falsification of records in federal investigations and bankruptcy (1519)
  • Destruction of corporate audit records (1520)
  • Retaliating against a federal judge or law enforcement by false claim or slander (1521)
Looks like Mamdani has engaged in a few on that list.

If his actions inhibit or prevent Federal Law Enforcement Agents in performing their duties he is guilty of being an accessory to committing a crime(s).

We all know how leftist senators and judges side with illegal aliens over American citizens, despite the costs the former cause the latter - from lowered school caliber for our honest citizens, to lowered property values, to suppressed wages.

The latest is the mayor-elect of NY, who has made his disdain for the American system and his alignment with Islamists apparent, who now has come out with a video to make it more difficult for ICE to capture some of the 10 million illegals Biden welcomed in.

So, the question for debate is: it is lillegal for an elected government official to make it difficult for government law enforcement to capture foreigners here in violation of our laws and/or have committed criminal actions?

Karoline Leavitte (aka TACO Belle) hid her illegal family member....

Should she be sent to gitmo?

You are moving goalposts and dodging the issue.
Illegals have more to account for than delinquent taxes.
They need to self emmigrant back to homelands and wait out the years of penalty before they can try to return LEGALLY .

If you agree with what I posted, what you replied to, then later "right" doesn't correct for prior WRONG.
There are ways they could get here legally had they tried.

I think this has to do with carefully navigating the optics and realities of the situation.

Of course many leftists and Democrats are encouraging the violation of US Law, and on paper they ought to be arrested and charged for it.

However, we also know that there is an institution that is the MSM and most of social media that would squawk and be the damsel in distress if it was aggressively and properly dealt with. So, I think there needs to be a few actions but nothing widespread off the bat. I think you apprehend a few obvious examples in the Democrat party who have encouraged breaking US Law. The left will whine and howl regardless, but you can't be too aggressive too fast.

However, eventually, it would be about creating a new norm.. that if you say these sort of things you should expect to have issues. Right now, it seems there's no expectation despite the illegality
