When Obamas got 65 million for books estimated to fetch quarter to half that, people asked if it was a money laundering scheme.
One knowing the Hunter situation, knows his spending will be carefully watched. He has to find created proven methods of tapping into the dough while not exposing any dirty money magically appearing. Enter the political go to money laundering book deal.
Joe has the same problem finding methods of explaining his riches on his former Senator VP salaries. So when the plagiarizing big guy who can't form full sentences leaves office "writing a book", you know damn well it was a way to launder his corruption money.

If anyone ever needs a definition for what "Black Privilege" means, look no further than Barack Obama. OMG the most worthless two faced con man ever and the world was laid at his feet because he was Black, charming and a smooth talker. "He's clean, he's Black, he's articulate, that's like a dream man!!!"

Obama’s book deal isn’t with Pearson, it’s with Penguin Random House.

Oops.

Pearson owned portions of Penguin before ditching it, and that link is not mine so 0 for 2 on your assumptions.
If you would have been right, that would not have proven some backdoor deal wasn't done through the over generous book deal, it would have merely dismissed that particular Company quid pro quo or been a more complex criss cross game to hide the trail.

A minority shareholder was able to foist an illegal scheme?

The argument and connections are getting weaker.

Let's be real. Hunter Biden could admit that he was involved in corruption and you still wouldn't believe it.

You want to see money laundering, check out political organizations buying up the books of people as a way to shuttle donor cash into the pockets of politicians, or in the case below, their kids.

I don't know what's going on with that, but I know there was FAR more enthusiasm for Trump and family than there was for Joe and his corrupt son.

Same thing

Penguin Random House was founded in 2013 by Markus Dohle upon the completion of a £2.4 billion transaction between Bertelsmann and Pearson to merge their respective trade publishing companies, Random House and Penguin Group. Bertelsmann and Pearson, the parent companies, initially owned 53% and 47%, respectively.[7] Jane Ciabattari of Library Journal has referred to this merger as the publishing industry's response to the increasing dominance of Amazon.com in the book market.[8] Markus Dohle was named CEO of the new company, which had more than 10,000 employees worldwide with 250 imprints and publishing houses and a publishing list of more than 15,000 new titles a year.[5][better source needed] Penguin Random House relaunched Book Country, Penguin's online writing community, in July 2013.[9] In September 2014, Random House Studio signed a first-look production deal with Universal Pictures, under which Random House would be the producer of films based on Penguin Random House books. The Universal subsidiary Focus Features has frequently collaborated with Random House Films.[10] Having previously created Puffin Rock animation, Richard Haines was chosen to head Penguin Random House Children's TV development strategy with the assistance of licensing, publishing, and TV development executive Emily Campan.[11]

In November 2015, Pearson announced it would rebrand to focus on its education division.[12] In July 2017, Pearson sold a 22% stake in the business to Bertelsmann, thereby retaining a 25% holding.[13][14] On 18 December 2019, Bertelsmann agreed to acquire Pearson's 25% stake in Penguin Random House, [15] making it a wholly owned subsidiary of Bertelsmann. The sale was completed on 2 April 2020.[3] In June 2020, Penguin Random House was one of a group of publishers who sued the Internet Archive, arguing that its collection of e-books was denying authors and publishers revenue and accusing the library of "willful mass copyright infringement".[16][17]

There’s nothing “real” about what you said. In fact, as a hypothetical question, it’a literally the opposite.

Ok. Do you believe that Hunter and Joe engaged in corruption?

Haven’t seen any evidence of it. Tell me exactly what you think Joe Biden did that was corrupt.

LOL ok. Nah. You're like a despondent mother that cannot accept that her little Joey did something bad.

See you misread that, the 25% stake was "what they had left" aka "remaining stake"" after selling a previous stake. And that is a poor argument and apology.
Easy mistake when you glance read and then make up your opinion based on your subjective opinion of a mere glance and rave. The issue with that however is people who have a greater responsibility to report things correctly without their bias and subjective opinion, but they not only can't but they also don't care that they always get it wrong nor that they are making you a parrot or puppet using you as a pawn in the process.

So Penguin agreed to engage in illegal activity to benefit a minority shareholder?

That’s what you’re saying?

There’s a reason this is a conspiracy.

As if a book deal for Obama was going to be some shaken proposition.
Sales top 3 million for Barack Obama's "A Promised Land'

You are Still making false claims about the stake in the publishing co. as an ad hominem smokescreen argument.
Did you know he has a pattern of taking money in creative ways other then just book deals?
I was the one who exposed the Rug gate incident where his gifted 2k Persian rug after used and soiled by his dog, sold for 224k if I remember right.
That is how politicians take backdoor money without recognition, especially when you have such a great band of investigative reporters that are as corrupted as the politicians they protect.

I don’t think you understand what ad hominem means.

Facts are that Penguin isn’t controlled by the other publisher.
