What happens when Bitcoin is no longer the flavor of the day and investors favor some other worthless currency?
Well... if you bought $1000 worth of bitcoin 1 year ago, you could sell it today for $2200. So, there's that.
Same with my other crypto faves. In the last 12 months....
Ripple is up 440%
$DOGE is up 314%
$SHIB is up $103%
$PEPE is up 1221%
I've made a lot of fuckin' money on crypto. I also mine crypto.

But while the value of that dollar goes up and down, it is still (Ok, in words) backed by the full faith and credit of the United States of America's treasury. And while we can debate to what extent that goes to, there is no such debate with crypto.
Crypto is literally backed by nothing. But if you understand that going in....I have nothing against it. As I said, I've made money on it too.

Crypto is as safe and as unsafe as a Fiat currency .
They are both subject to market popularity/ demand/trust which are themselves governed by geo -political status and changes .
And presently there are many who believe Crypto is safer than the US Dollar , which might fall disastrously this year.
With some even seeing the end of it as the world's Reserve currency and the elite's Federal Reserve being scrapped .
A distinct possibility which would signal a huge disaster for Deep State and its possible downfall .
Which leads to --- more attacks and retaliations .
World War3 -- which we are already well into .

Bitcoin and the others are still a boutique currency. Not many places to use it as a medium of exchange...
Also...it usually has a 25% service fee at the few places that accept crypto currencies. So....any person owning it can expect to lose 25% of value when using it.
You can't really claim to have made money in crypto until you sell it. Just like gold or rare coin investing.
You haven't really made any money until you sell and realize those gains.
