Everyone thinks polygamy is about sex. Any married man can have sex with other women...he does not have to marry them

The reason I don't think I could survive in a polygamous relationship is that women are so damn demanding. I have a hard enough time with one woman ...let alone two

I am polyamorous. We just don't need the gov't approval in the form of a marriage license. I know several poly households. Most have at least one marriage, but have agreements concerning the rest. It seems to work for them.

Wives are often plural in The Bible.

Only in historical context. Not in instructional context.

'the two will become one flesh’, not more than two.

'Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’

'You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife'

‘each man should have his own wife, and each woman her own husband.'

Deuteronomy 17:17 forbids polygamy. Those who did not listen like David and Solomon got into big do-do for doing so.

I think there is a natural tendency for men to want to spread their genes to as many partners as possible.

I also think societal pressures make people monogamous more than any desire for monogamy.

Does that mean being gay is unnatural?

It is but what does that matter? 75% of our lives are unnatural

This is why I never understood the "it's not a choice" brigade. Why not just stand up and say the truth "Hey in America, I have the right to choose to have they gay sex, deal with it"
