Hamas just blew their wad with the multi rocket strategy, and Israel was totally ready for it.

Israel wasn't kidding when they said their missile defense system has been upgraded dramatically.

Now, what would be nice is if they can develop an accurate "Fire Finder" radar system to have rounds on the way towards the point of firing before the Iron Dome has even finished its interception. That would be grand.

LOL I'm sure the Israelis already have such an ability. Unfortunately by the time the counter missile heads towards Achmed, he's already evacuated and now it's the human shields that will take the direct hit. That's why they head towards the location with fighter planes, and hit the building with a warning shock missile to give the remaining occupants a chance for evacuation before they level the building. Which gives the perpetrators a chance to split as well. Israelis have to be the stupidest people in the world when it comes to this. If they level a few buildings that rockets were shot from without any "warnings", Hamas will learn their lesson.

No, the US Army was working on a system during the Vietnam War but never perfected it. Now though, they have radars that are far more precise and capable of doing this job. In my fantasy world the system would be fully automated and the counter battery (always a 60mm to keep collateral low) would be landing even before Achmed had a chance to scoot.

That would be a very viable and effective alternative, and it will bring an abrupt halt to Palestinians shooting rockets at Israelis recklessly. Israel should look into it. I don't see anything Israel is incapable of achieving, technologically speaking.

Look at this Iron Dome in operation now. All these missiles, not one has made it through. Israelis are going about their daily lives while Hamas is being pummeled. And Israel is working on improving it, even now.
