No doubt all the Iraqi Christians who have resettled around the world are worried sick about their relatives and friends left behind.

Iraqi Christians in San Diego County fear U.S. airstrikes are too late

Catholics fleeing Mosul, Iraq, 'lost everything: homes, jobs, savings, lives,' recent immigrant says

EL CAJON, Calif. — One of the biblical readings at the Sunday Mass at Our Mother of Perpetual Help Syriac Catholic Church here contained a passage from Ephesians, complete with the warning "do not leave room for the devil."
The passage had a particular poignancy for the 300-plus parishioners attending the overflow Mass because, as one parishioner explained, "The devil is loose in our homeland."

All but a handful of the parish families are recent immigrants from Iraq. A church service in Arabic and Aramaic makes them feel more at home in their new country.
But most have relatives and close friends trapped in the northern part of Iraq, which is under attack by Sunni Islamic militants who are sworn enemies of Christianity and Christians.

The U.S. took away Saddam Hussein and that was very important to us. But when they went away, they didn't leave good people in control.
- Msgr. Emad Hanna Al-Shaikh, pastor of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Syriac Catholic Church in El Cajon, Calif.
A sign outside the church has a simple plea, "Save Iraqi Christians." Small American flags adorn the iron fence.

I think that the reason for ISIS´ strength is that many fighters from the FSA environment "pledged loyalty" to the IS. They are comparatively well equipped and offer lucrative salaries. And they replace the base, the dream of those fanatics, that has been destroyed by the forces of the Syrian resistance led by President Assad.

As for many people, the US acts too late indeed. Many were murdered or buried alive.
Iraq crisis: More than 1 million displaced, UNHCR says - CNN.com

ISIS terrorists also rush into towns and cities they do not yet control and murder people they consider "unislamic" or even murder people randomly.
They have murdered 17 girls on a party in Mosul, for example.

Even before anyone even heard of ISIS, the Christians were being murdered in Iraq so please don't try to blame everything on the FSA. Are there any Assyrian churches in your town in Germany? If so, ask them what happened to their people in Iraq even before the rise of ISIS. Maybe you would like to blame the murder of the Christian Copts on the FSA too instead of members of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.

What´s your problem? Why am I trying to blame ISIS crimes on the FSA in your opinion, when I simply mention a reason for ISIS´ sudden conquests?

And yes, Iraqi Christians are not save since the fall of Saddam Hussein, but now over a million people are refugees.

Note, that some people have to adjust their truth to get it presentable. Some have to, and they make up stories about alleged atrocities while glorifying, denying or belittling atrocities that are partial even publicly committed.
Note, that I am not one of those people.

They're late all right. About 10 years too late.

The problems are huge. First, disbanding the Iraqi army, not collecting weapons and leaving hundreds of thousands of armed angry men without jobs was the first disaster. Besides the war mongers, who didn't see that coming?

Then the Christians that lived in Iraq were put into grave danger the minute the first bomb dropped. Something Pope warned about way before the attack even began. In fact, there was never any plan to protect them in any way.

Sometimes, some messes are so huge, you just have to clear everything away and start over.

of course it too late

that's Obama.... he said if it came down to standing with Muslims HE WOULD

Well, we can't bring back the dead and these raids are defensive in nature only. No command and control structures are being targeted.

Your big problem is that you want to drag in the FSA for everything because you think it will take away from what your Knight in White Armor has done. The FSA wasn't just started up out of thin air. There has to have been a purpose for them to organize, probably the same reason we saw many Arabs starting the the Arab Spring in the other Middle East countries and other Arabs were cheering them on. Meanwhile, go find some Assyrian churches in Germany and ask the Assyrians if they actually felt safe under Saddam. Get it from the horse's mouth, so to speak, to find out what they think.

A bombing here...a bombing there... that's pathetic ... that's the way liberals like it!

PATHETIC!!!!!! and USELESS!!!!!!

They should carpet bomb ISIS ...not pussyfoot around them, darn it!

Obama said that? Can you prove it? You don't want to be seen as an ignorant lying sack of shit, right? Not again.

You stupidly repeat your accusations. I tell you something, the FSA is terrorist scum, if members join ISIS or not. They even work together like during their raid on that Lebanese town. You are not a valid discussion partner, and you project your own behavior onto other persons.

What can we expect. They're just following the teachings of the Koran.
