Israel insists that Iran allow inspectors full access to all of it's nuclear facilities.

Why not hold Israel to the same standards as Iran?

Because Isreal did not sign the nuclear nonproliferation treaty. The only rational reason for iran to have an enrichment program is to manufacture fissible material. In light of US foteign policy I fully understand why they would want a weapon. However, a nuclear capable Iran would destabilize the region and threaten our access to oil. Additionally, Iran has a long history of arming non state militant groups. The Iranians have taken a very aggressive posture in provoking the US by supplying iraqi insurgent groups with weapons
to fight US forces- Iran supplied the EFPs which proved to b the deadliest weapin faced by the US in iraq.
