No one should get more in voucher dollars than they paid in in property taxes. Any thing else is capitalistic socialism.

I agree and that's one of the reasons I am opposed to vouchers.

So what excactly are these vouchers doing? Taking money from children for their education is wrong. Where did you go to school? Was it a public or private school. As far as for me i went to a public school and some of the best memories i have are from my school. Why are they trying to do this......

Because the public education system in this country is an abominable failure.

How so? Public schools are over funded now. They waste so much money on frills.
Then they have the nerve to demand more.
A typical property tax bill is 75% school taxes. What's that tell ya?

How can public schools learn from private ones?


Private ones can kick out any student they want to.

Public schools have to teach whoever walks in the door.

They kick out poor performers are miscreants. Public schools used to be able to do the same.

Straw man argument.
Money is not being taken away. It follows the student. Same as though there were fewer students in a district.
Works the same way with Charter Schools.

during one segment of Waiting for Superman, Michelle Rhee was filmed walking thru a warehouse (that an anonymous tip gave her information to), the place was stacked literally to the rafters with all sorts of stuff in ruin, becasue it had been thrown in a jumble and added to for years; computers, desks, books, classrooms materials of every sort....

like 3 million bucks of equipment for a school system that is deemed ill equipped to educated kids due to lack of money by their very own administrators who are responsible for the equipment to start with....unreal.
