As the ocean and atmosphere warm, we are seeing increased damage to shoreline from increasingly energetic waves and major flooding in the interior from the atmospheric rivers. Of course, the admins response to this is genius. Defund research and observation systems that would give us early warning.

China is building dozens of new dirty coal plants.

There is your main culprit if one exists.

Actually, as time goes by, we are just seeing increasing evidence for the natural process of change that has been at force on this planet ever since it was created. The same forces that eventually raise and lower whole continents and move oceans around.

Change is a function of time. More time = more change.

OP also fails to note that if there were not so much fraud, waste, and abuse in the Federal Government, it would be unnecessary to cut back on any warning system, even though I don't think that any cuts have actually been made to our early warning system in the Pacific.

Yeah, when you build on unstable cliffs overlooking an ocean that has forty to sixty foot waves quite regularly, you're going to see disasters. Was it climate change? NOPE. It's weather that has been happening for millennia and man's arrogance to believe they can build and magically unstable coastline will become stable. LMAO

The real fraud in all government is that they balance their own books; who audits them? Government first sells you on a $1000 scheme they know they can build in 1 year for only $300, but then they take 15 years and never build it even for $10,000 in budget overruns! Meanwhile, they took $9,990 of those dollars and pocketed it for themselves and blame it on inflation and "overruns."

What they are really hiding is the fact that we only get 15-20% of the government we pay for. Put another way, it really costs 85% less to run a country than we are told and we could all be doing much better owning second homes for what we shell out in taxes. Which is basically what the mob used to do, shake you down, which is why they ran the mob out of business--- competition.

Since time = change, it is inevitable that shorelines and coasts get tore up. A location might be idyllic for years and years, maybe centuries or thousands of years but eventually, the coast will move and everything will change. Someday that coast might be 10 miles underground or at the bottom of the ocean.

Changing coastline is an inevitable, natural process whether the climate warms, cools or stays the same and is more a sign of time than just of change since time IS change.

Should have been here in 1961 and 1969! Now, that was a downpour!!! Been going on for thousands of years.

The Northern part of the CA coast is subject to Tsunamis as well.

Just don't go farther north. The whole area from northern California to around Vancouver Island, Canada is the Cascadia slip fault. That is a slip fault that could release its energy any time from right now to the next few thousand years. Technically, it might already be overdue.

When that happens, there will be an instant readjustment of the entire coastline there that will be felt ten miles inland.

There is no warming of either oceans or atmosphere. We are seeing no ocean rise. What we see here is the desperate attempt of a flailing fraud to created "something" out of nothing.

This moron still cannot tell us whether the "warming" is causing more or less floods....

Before 1850, we never had any floods and Death Valley was called Pleasant Footlands
