The NYT has done an excellent piece of work.. This is very informative.

Excerpt:

Diana Buttu, a lawyer who has been studying West Bank work conditions, and other boycott supporters acknowledged that the settlement industry provided important economic opportunities for Palestinians even as it challenged their national aspirations. The deeper problem, she said, was that the Palestinian minimum wage was $410 a month, compared with Israel’s $1,217, and most Palestinian workers lacked pensions, vacation days and disability insurance — factors she and others say are the fault of the Palestinian Authority as well as Israel.

Comparing what happens in Palestine were the PA makes the rules and what happens in Israel is disingenuous and does your POV no favours. Why not compare the Palestinian minimum wage with that of the USA, or Pakistan even. The whole problem is that of the P.A. who are so engrossed in demonising Israel that they dont have any time left to look after their own people

Palestinians are not Mexicans.. They are not illegal aliens.. They have lived in Palestine since Roman times.

Nor are they governed by Israel, their employment laws are set by the Koran and the P.A. and under sharia law they cant have a pension or disability insurance can they. I know this by the exclusions in the UK employment laws dealing with pensions and insurance, the muslims are exempted from the enforced deductions that all other workers must pay.

PA does not produce enough jobs. Israeli industry and farming are a boon more palestinians, not a hardship.
So much political nonsense but they forget about the income that flows through the PA because of Israeli jobs. Even construction of settlements provide well paid income for palestinians.
I'm sure if two same jobs were offered, most would want to be hired at Israeli rates and work for Israeli companies with the benefits and safer work conditions.

If nothing else, Israeli jobs are training grounds for the palestinians to develop their own economy.
Jails too have palestinians that would rather be in Israeli jails, get an education and get paid by the PA or Hamas at the same time. They come out with skills and a pocket of money to start a new life, get married or help support their family.

Without Israel, palestine would return to the being a money pit on the regional economy...... Oh wait, it already is.

I don't think the world is that focused on Israel that you think it is, Herr Weil Ich Weiss.
I think more of the world is focused on what your brethren are doing in Syria and elsewhere when it comes to murdering people. After all, over 140,000 dead in Syria is nothing to sneeze at. Can you even imagine how many are wounded and how many are refugees now? Wouldn't it be better for you to get out for a few hours each day and go to your Mosque leader in Michigan to arrange for some fundraising for the unfortunate people in Syria?
