By my quick count, in trying to achieve your alt-right wish list here, you have 23..maybe 26 states that would agree to a convention like this.

Mail in voting should be the law of the land. All states have their own signature and verification matching requirements. No undocumented immigrants are allowed to vote period.
It's been used successfully for decades with no argument from either side. It's only since your savior was dispatched that it's become an issue. You should not fear the fact that every citizen
gets to vote...unless you believe your side has no new ideas and you'd have a hard time maintaining your minority grip on the majority.
