It was no secret then that Gandhi was a devout racist, so it shouldn't surprise anybody; he hated blacks. The Gandhi Myth almost always leaves this out, of course. The Nazi 'Aryanism' naturally would include 'pure cast' Indians, after all, and one of the founding triumvirate of 'liberators' of modern India supported the Nazis during WW II, from the Bengal region, iirc. He had to flee British India by Japanese submarine and was later killed in a plane crash in Taiwan, trying to get to Germany.

The Nazis also considered some family branches of the Roma to be of 'Aryan descent', and those weren't sent to the camps and left alone while they gassed others.
