This was not the flex that Kimmel thought it was. It was another example of an elite leftist insulting blue-collar working-class Americans and yet the Democratic Party is somehow lost as to how that demographic has drifted right over the years and managed to support a man like Donald Trump in two of the last three presidential elections.
And while I personally know people who have met Mullin and have not heard the greatest things about his personality, he is a typical American success story. When he was 20 his father's health took a turn, so he dropped out of college to run the family business. He built it from six people into a multimillion-dollar HVAC company with 150+ employees. The same people criticizing him have nothing to say about AOC being a bartender before being elected to Congress.
