I'd like to see a breakdown by race here. On second thought it wouldn't mean much since obozo likes to classify hispanics as white when doing so makes whites look bad.

BLS: In 20% of American Families, No One Works | CNS News

April 28, 2014

(CNSNews.com) - In 20 percent of American families in 2013, according to new data released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), not one member of the family worked.

A family, as defined by the BLS, is a group of two or more people who live together and who are related by birth, adoption or marriage. In 2013, there were 80,445,000 families in the United States and in 16,127,000—or 20 percent--no one had a job.

The BLS designates a person as “employed” if “during the survey reference week” they “(a) did any work at all as paid employees; (b) worked in their own business, profession, or on their own farm; (c) or worked 15 hours or more as unpaid workers in an enterprise operated by a member of the family.”

Members of the 16,127,000 families in which no one held jobs could have been either unemployed or not in the labor force. BLS designates a person as unemployed if they did not have a job but were actively seeking one. BLS designates someone as not in the labor force if they did not have a job and were not actively seeking one. (An elderly couple, in which both the husband and wife are retired, would count as a family in which no one held a job.)

I suspect some of these families have cash jobs. That's what an income tax gets you.

Is this a reflection of shitty families or a really piss poor economy?

Neither. This is what happens when you have a socialist white-hating president.

The president has nothing to do with your personal economy. You are a loser and every sentence you write whining about how its all someone elses fault proves it. I had a blame list when i was 18. I threw that list away but it seems like you found it and claimed it for yourself.

No, this president is completely responsible for our household losing $8,000 annually in disposable income. As an average household, multiply by 150 million households and this jerk hack president has cost our national economy $1.2 trillion annually. For us, the cumulative $43,000 means a new roof, tree removal, a car from this century, house painting. Instead we have to watch our property dilapidate because of this jerk president's energy policy. You've lost money, too. You either are in denial or pay no attention to your own budget.

No I actually have made more money than every before. My net worth is at an alltime high. If your argument is true then all you have to do is sit back and do nothing and still get paid. Since that is false you need to learn the economy always always goes in cycles. Those that dont understand that recession follows expansion and that expansion follows recession always blames someone else. This happens like clockwork and will always happen. Blaming the POTUS is some BS your party of choice tricked you into believing.

OK, so then you're oblivious. You still lose $8,000 annually (or likely more since you say you're making so much) as a result of energy costs being increased due to the hack's energy policy. Those costs transfer through all consumer goods and you have to spend that much more every year. This is all about energy policy.
Do you know how much a gallon of gas cost on January 11, 2009?

Let me get this straight. Are you complaining about the cost of living? I dont lose anything. i just told you my networth is higher than its ever been. Its a simple concept you should have learned already. My incoming is higher than my outgoing. On top of that my profits are wisely invested or reinvested. My money and effort makes money for me while I sleep.

And you would have even more if it wasn't for this hack president's energy policy. For those of us whose personal budgets are not flourishing like yours (which would be most households) we can't afford this hardship. Your complacency and apparent ignorance of the facts doesn't help anyone.

There is this word called circumstances. Everyone has to deal with them. Since everyone has to deal with them you should understand that its what you do with your circumstances that determine the quality of your life. Your personal philosophy about life simply needs to change. When you blame everything else you are saying you are powerless to control your destiny. Once I learned that nothing could stop me. Stop whining. Please.

And, try this on for size!!

Are Obama and Reid Going to Continue to Blame Bush for This?

I know most left-leaners on this forum will continue to do so!

But, they might first take the time to first read the article @ Doug Ross @ Journal: DISASTROUS ECONOMIC STATS RELEASED: Are Obama and Reid Still Going to Blame Bush for a Half Decade of Failure?

Your graph shows it jumped in 2009. Which policy of Obama's that was implemented and had widespread effect the same year he was inaugurated caused this? Or maybe was because of recession of 2008?

I would imagine that that many people are probably retired.

No big deal, lad.

Why?

There are 38 million retired workers in the USA.
