NHS GPs are baffled by the Government’s stance that they are not classed as a public service, given
almost 100% of their work is exclusively for their NHS registered patients. Historically, previous
Conservative governments have set precedents to fully fund any increases in practice employment
expenses, including NIC increases.
It is greatly worrying that a Labour Government would choose to disregard this option at a time when Family doctors most need their support.
Basically, Labour have defund healthcare by £35m, but they've never had a track record for funding it. Under Blair, funding looked like it went up, but it was private money with a mortgage for decades. Plus carers and social care means councils will be out of pocket by £1.8bn.
Good ole Labour, this is what their voters asked for which is bewildering.
