But currently there is no real leader of the Democrats. Pelosi had a shot but she is a vegetable. AOC is a wackanoodle and not leadership material.
There is a few others who might have a shot but they MUST go through the process of a primary. Tulsi Gabbard became a republican. She's out. She and Gavin were the front runners. RFK was in the hunt too but he's a republican too now.

They'll find one....maybe one of the few Democrat Governors. Someone who can successfully go toe-to-toe with JD Vance during a debate? Kinda iffy. Especially with voting reforms and Democrats losing voters. (Their party has been shrinking)

I expect that they will lose in a bid against Vance.

Other countries manage to deal with rights for minorities without cases going to the Supreme Court over baking a cake. Americans look for things to get pissed off about and make ridiculous claims that their right to be an asshole to others, trumps other people's rights to be treated well.

I agree completely that MAGA media, since the day Limbaugh went national, amplifies every conservative grievance by a factor of about 50.

The question, then, is how to address it.

I think the American Left lost its way when it went from advocacy to weaponization. Destroying businesses, ruining careers, intimidating and controlling who can say what, where, and when -- all of that (plus MAGA media) created a resentment that has only increased over the years. Personally, my observation was that the final straw was the transsexuals reading to children in classrooms. That's when heads really exploded (and by the way, many of those exploding heads belonged to the working class and middle class). The result? They just needed a pied piper who was shameless enough to cater to their every grievance and paranoia.

He showed up.
