I would be highly surprised if those coming from other continents were to turn around, without even applying, especially if applying on persecution grounds. I have no problem with people applying through the system. I have a lot of problem with sneaking in, getting on the public dole, without even a court date until years later, whether facing legitimate persecution at home or not. Nothing against immigrants, but totally against illegal aliens inside our country.

Refugees should apply. Those coming south of the border are the problem. Terrorists getting let in and also gang members. Most immigrants come here illegally. That is the problem. They need to go through the proper applications first before entering. Hell, I don't mind foreign workers coming in on a visa and becoming citizens.
