Your position that because some people will try to get over or under a wall means we shouldn't have one is akin to someone saying that because people still speed on our highways that we shouldn't have speed limits or highway patrols.

White children are the minority in schools today, meaning in another 15 to 20 years, the white population will be a minority in this country. I don't know what corner of the country you people are from, but it's not unusual to see a large Hispanic populations in my state of Colorado--(whom are LEGAL born here citizens, including the entire southwest of this country.) If your pretense was to shut the gate behind you and make this country ALL WHITE, your're about a 100 years to late for that. White students to no longer be majority in U.S. public schools

If you REALLY want to stop the digging of tunnels you can install the same technology that Israel is using to detect tunnels being dug under walls protecting them from the Palestinians.

If you don't patrol the border it doesn't matter if there is a wall or no wall. If you patrol the border and respond to people attempting to knock holes in it or climb over it...arrest them and deport them...then they aren't going to try any more.

By the way...you'll note that none of those scaling that wall are bringing in hundred pound packs full of drugs to poison our young people. How much is that worth to you? Or do you even care?

And that's why drug lords have no problems spending millions of dollars on tunnels. They have found 80 tunnels in San Diego alone and know there is more there that they haven't found.

What they can see, can and will always be compromised. They can get through anything, and anyone that actually lives along the border will tell you that. They have the same tools and equipment that we have. They're not really cavemen. You build a 100' wall they'll bring rope and pulley's, cement cutters, wire cutters, and a 100' ladder if they have too. They'll build stairs on their side of the wall, and they'll bring cranes to load and unload drugs "over" the wall if they have too. And they'll get over the wall long before they're spotted.

We should, as a nation, be willing to do whatever is necessary to secure our borders and stem the flow of illegal scumbag aliens into our country. Nothing should be off the table. If a wall won't do it, then put armed troops on that wall. If their presence isn't a deterrent, set them free to gun down the invaders. If they use tunnels, surveil them and wait for scumbag aliens to enter them and then detonate both ends, burying them alive.

It won't take long before the deaths of those scumbags who break our laws will compel other would-be scumbags to start making better choices.

See, there's not a single reasonable, intelligent argument which can be made to show how illegal immigration should be permitted. Not a single one, and I challenge any non-thinking lib to try. They're called "illegal" for a reason. Their very first act is to break our laws. They do not belong here. Period. Is legal immigration hard? Sure it is, and it should be. We're the greatest country to ever exist and to come here is a privilege.

You have drones flying over head looking for people massing to bum rush the border. If I were President I'd authorize non lethal force to be used against people scaling our border walls. Shoot them with bean bags or rubber bullets. Use the same technologies that Israel is using to stop tunnels from being dug from Arab controlled territories into Israeli controlled areas. Our borders CAN be secured...you liberals simply don't want to see that happen because you need a growing Hispanic vote to offset the losses you're seeing in blue collar voters.
