Unfortunately, as long as there is a leftwing media, the Democrat Party will always be viable. You can see how the shutdown is being portrayed. The media is silent about the fact that the Democrats are demanding the big piece of legislation they lost on be undone. Such a demand is unreasonable. Yet the media is saying the GOP needs to give ground.

I well remember when the GOP prematurely celebrated the death of the Democratic Party after Reagan won 49 states.

Not THAT is what a real landslide looks like, kids. Not this bullshit claim of a "landslide" by Trump who did not even receive 50 percent of the vote.

Well, I don’t believe being anti-American or anti-capitalist, etc., would be sufficient for any criminal charges. But it might be enough to get us on a watchlist. And if, because of that, we were to later get arrested for something, the underlying probable cause might be subject to a legal attack by defense counsel.

My concern is still more in line with the old matter of “chilling” free speech.

I don’t like it. I may be a capitalist but that doesn’t make a socialist a terror threat merely because of a different economic philosophy. And I believe it is good to hear what the other folks are thinking and what they believe.
