I watched The Polar Express last week. Last evening I watched "Out of Africa" toasty warm by the fireplace, feet up, sipping Tom 'n Jerrys. Great evening.

I want to do the Aspen thing by going to Colorado one year for Christmas and New Years, but I don't want the trip to be "work." I don't want it to tire me out. I've been to Colorado before (Colorado Springs). We did the Pike's Peak and Seven Falls adventures and we went to Coor's stadium.

Some of the African American teachers at my school I teach at did just that. They reserved a cabin at Breckinridge, and went to Colorado to enjoy the snow. I would like to do that, but I don't want to have to do this.... and do that when I get there. I just want to chill and do nothing but relax and maybe a tiny bit of shopping. Then return home after the New Year's celebration.

It really was. I turned down a late dinner invitation as I didn't have the strength to participate in a social event.

I can understand that. I needed rest myself. I worked at the elementary school from August 1, 2024 to December not missing one day of work. They posted a perfect attendance certificate on my classroom door. It was tiring me out by December, so I really needed this two weeks off.

I told family I will visit them for New Years. Too tired to do so for Christmas. They say a fast horse don't run for long, so you have to slow the body down and let it rest. Enjoy your rest; it's priceless and helps add more years to your life.
