I am about to experience a financial crisis here in Philly because the public transportation system is about to reduce or eliminate service and raise the price. So I dont know how much Uber is going to cost during a time like this because a lot of people will be using it. So my mom asked me would I be interested in coming to a Labor Day cookout knowing I will have to spend tons of money to get to work everyday. So of course my answer was **** NO. lol Why would I go and sit and eat food with people not affecting by this crisis?

You are a free man and under no obligation. Do you love your family? Would your mother like to see you? Would.family time help or exacerbate the situation? Perhaps let your mom know you will visit her under better circumstances next month. If it is too budensome then pass.

That's a legitimate reason. I don't have much family to speak of, just a brother in Illinois. But I do have family on my wife's side, and hate when she drags me off to her family get-togethers.

The worst part is those dumb games they like to play. It's like having teeth pulled.

Oh. You must choose then. If you are not comfortable with seeing them under the circumstances then you just say no. I know how diffcult it can be at times and I personally never feel.pressured to betray my own peace of mind. One can only do what they can do.

Just completely ignored that I will have to spend money on a Uber to and from work on top of paying rent, bills, and food. But my situation is minor because its just me lol
