If Trump Wins Will He Take Office In January?

I can think of a number of reasons why Trump might not be able to take office in January if he wins. So, I'm just asking a generic question. I'll leave it up to the posters to expand on those reasons if they wish. But, the general question is, if Trump wins, will he be able to take office in January? I'm hoping yes but I'm sure those on the left and on the right will have their reasons why it might not happen. Do democrats believe in a peaceful transition of power?

It really doesn't matter if he takes the oath or not. The presidency would transfer to him at noon on the 20th. The 20th amendment kicks Biden to the curb at that appointed time regardless.
