"No degree" ? FALSE! We have plenty of gun common sense here in Florida.
I own 2 guns. For both of them I had to wait 3 business days after purchasing them, to take them home. This was while a National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) was done on me.

I have never been arrested so I had no trouble (other than waiting 5 days (over the weekend) to get my guns home. But if I had a criminal record, I would not habe been able to buy those guns. My money would have been refunded, and i woud have gone he without the guns.

I also have a CCW permit - I had to jump through several hoops on that. In addition to the NICS check, I had to go downtown and get a photo ID, fingerprints, answer questions, etc.

And after even if I had never bought a gun, I would have the privilege of feeling safe outside, and in various places, knowing that there are law abiding citizens carrying guns walking around, thereby providing a deterrent to criminals and mass shooters to stay away.

Where there is no "gun common sense" is in the places that are designated as "Gun Free Zones", which are green light invitations to mass shooters, to go there, and be comforted with the expectation of no resistance.
