I was thinking about the left's accusations toward Trump, gastapo, authoritarian, dictator and King.

Would it be reasonable to congratulate the left for their efforts, such as no kings days, should none of these things materialize?

To some degree, yes.

The benefit of a free country is expression. Democracies and Republic have a built in moderator, it's called "citizens". If they keep voicing their displeasure about particular policies, it may alter them, or at the very least, bring attention to them so Trump can be sure he doesn't cross a line.

There's nothing wrong with that in my opinion.

I agree with that to an extent. Its like Iron sharpening Iron or something, right? only problem is we have one side that truely is more grass roots, where the people have altered the political discourse within their own party.
The other side has a little bit of that, but a larger portion is controlled by the ideology flowing down from the top. IMO I think a good number of their newer leadership are really anarchists at heart and not even what we used to consider socialist.

To zero degree if they made it up to begin with, proven by it never was, is or will be. It would be the same thing if libs protested against the coming of raining penises. "Wow libs, it never happened, must be your efforts, good job"

The Marine Corp shut down the freeway that connects san diego to los angeles for a live fire exercise. I wonder if Trump did this to mrss up the No King protests

Trump can't become a king. Today was a complete waste of a perfectly good day.

Much of what President Trump is today is a result of how he was unfairly treated by the left. If he goes ape-shit against the left, well they earned it. You can't try to destroy someone, their family, and everyone else around them, and not expect some repercussions. You can't try to lock someone up and assassinate them when you fail, and not expect that person to seek retribution for the way they were treated.

I agree. And I also think that most people who are not so politically active actually saw what the federal government and the entire democrap party was doing to Trump, and noticed that Trump didn't give up, and it made Trump more endearing and showed that he will fight for what he thinks is the best course for America. The left made it obvious to most Americans that Trump is not the center of all today's problems, the democraps are.

That's where it became an issue. When someone is personally persecuted it goes well beyond politics. A man can deal with name calling, allegations regarding policies etc but to weaponize agencies, that is Banana Republic stuff. Just as Canada is the old Soviet Union in the way they treat citizens like me, Trump for all his wealth experienced it worse (at least the overt abuse). Let's think about this though, a judge punished Trump with a $355M fine. That's the type of stuff you'd see in corrupt Ontario where courts and police target citizens at will and justice is NEVER blind, outcomes are pre-determined. Considering what the abusers of power did to Trump, is there any surprise he is fighting back? Is there any surprise he is punishing places in Canada who abuse peoples rights? He can't become the devil that abused him, that's not American. He can however, direct his administration to.enforce the law without the special favours and unspoken pivileges that some have enjoyed, it is definitely not American to let people break laws due to their stature, be they citizen or foreign jurisdiction. That's the b.s America fought for their independence from and they must continue to fight

Too late, he's already there.

Let's pause for a moment and consider the many ways in which trump abused his power. And of course the many crimes he committed.

He is well within his rights to appeal the amount of a fine assessed against him. Lessening the fine does not excuse the crime he committed to cause the fine in the first place.

We seem to live more in a propaganda era now. The real problem is people have no idea what economics is.

There was no crime with his loan. He was the victim of weaponized justice unleashed by a woman who campaigned on weaponizing it against him. Frightening really.

America voted to have Trump prosecute the lawfare Democrats.

Yeah, just think of the damage negative interest rates would have done.
