No it isn't at all.

I ask their name and I call them by that.

If it's a man I call them a man if it's a woman I call them a woman.

Anything they want beyond that and I just won't talk to them. They want me to use some stupid pronoun or whatever then I just walk away because I don't have the time, energy or inclination to do it. **** em, they have a name, use it.

I’ll make an honest attempt to use they/them pronouns if that’s what they really want.

But that doesn’t come naturally for anyone, and never will.

The non-binary folk must learn to accept that people are going to forget and revert to using whichever gender pronoun they most present as. And not get all drama-queen about it

I would use a scientific response: he or she. Responding with how someone identifies is just being an enabler of their mental illness, and how the individual feels doesn't make it so.

Usually such persons make their pronouns known. But if not, just ask how they want to be addressed.

This is just being polite. I'll call you by whatever name or appellation you want. People get to choose their names.

What I won't do is deny reality. If you are of one sex and insist I pretend you are a different one, then we have a problem. Reality is a ***** and reality always moves last.
