If SCOTUS rules in favor of Americans on birthright citizenship. Will voting rights be revoked…will the GOP seek return of the 3/5 compromise?

If the high court determines that those born to illegal parents are not and were not entitled to a U.S. citizenship could voting rights be revoked and or could another 3/5 compromise be in play for those here on stolen citizenships?
How would such a thing play out for the future of the GOP?

I doubt that anybody born here of an illegal alien mother (with an illegal alien father, either with her or somewhere else) won’t be grandfathered in.

But going forward (which is kinda the point): it will be one terrific inducement to illegally come here which gets negated.

Trump has already lost on this issue The supreme court left it up to the locals who will have to tailor it to be acceptable to the supreme court.

A federal judge in Maryland late Thursday ruled President Donald Trump's administration cannot withhold citizenship from children born to people in the country illegally or temporarily, issuing the fourth court decision blocking the president's birthright citizenship order nationwide since a key U.S. Supreme Court ruling in June.

So federal judges have generally said what they want

The Supreme court did not back neither side but left the door open for further discussions or for it to be properly phrased for it to be legal or illegal

So my bet is on the lower courts and not on Trump the decider

Trump will lose because the courts are tired of him and his no logic arguments and trying to be the ruler

No man can be King

There are three branches of government and trump cannot make an argument

Birthright citizenship is explicitly guaranteed to anyone born under the legal "jurisdiction" of the U.S. federal government by the Citizenship Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States

It seems clear to me with "anyone" which would make sense as America is founded on immigrants. The only native Americans would be the Indians.

So to populate the US with others, would require citizenship to anyone born in the US and ignore wheter the parents were citizens. This would be true in the early years.

Thus to make American into what it is today would require birth right citizenship.

Thus the term "melting pot"

Trump has no power in how the consitution is interpreted

4 Paths to Become a U.S. Citizen:

  1. Citizenship through Birth
  2. Acquired Citizenship through Parents
  3. Derived Citizenship through Parents
  4. Citizenship through Naturalization
That is it

The only way to keep illegal aliens out is to not let them in
Yet US is a melting pot

Statue of Liberty says it best

Well, now that the borders are under control again Visas should not be issued to preggers foreign women and those foreign women of birthing age wishing to enter our country need to take a pregnancy test at customs to prove it.

There is no birthright citizenship for people born under a foriegn countries jurisdiction.

You are a mexican you are under mexico's jurisdiction, not the usa's.

The Constitution does not apply to those under the jurisdiction of foriegn governments

We're probably stuck with those who are anchor babies now. Under the existing law they have been declared citizens and I don't see any point in trying to revoke those citizenships. Their parents, however, should not be allowed to stay here by virtue of their child's citizenship. They can leave with their minor child who can of course return later if he/she wants by virtue of his/her citizenship. Or, if they abandon their child--only the scummiest of scum would do that--the child would need to be placed in a good orphanage like Boys Town or Girls Town. I am guessing that would involve only a few people.

But no future anchor babies would be citizens.

But the law needs to be crystal clear:

--No citizenship for anchor babies
--No chain migration
--Other than immediate necessary humanitarian aid prior to immediate deportation for anyone here illegally, no benefits of any kind can be provided illegals.
--Undocumented persons can be deported immediately and are not entitled to automatic legal assistance or court orders.
--Anyone entering the country illegally will be deported and will lose all privileges to be here under any circumstances, even as a visitor or dignitary
--Any persons afforded asylum--only people from designated countries can apply for asylum--or any persons accepted as refuges from actual natural disasters, will be required to return home as soon as the danger or crisis has passed.
--Illegals cannot work or live here, and anyone knowingly providing them employment or housing will be subject to fine and/or other penalties.
--The lottery system will be ended and any persons accepted as new immigrants will be of good reputation and have ability to support themselves or will have sponsors who will see that they are supported until they can support themselves.

That is a possible outcome.

I don't know how census takers would determine who are illegals.

You ask, and they say, "You soy citizen."
