...against the orders of leadership what are the consequences for them?

the voters should decide in 2026

Nothing will happen to them....With near 1K flight cancelations today so far the vile dems are looking for a exit ramp for their dumb-fuckery.

If I were scheduled to fly right now, I'd cancel the trip too.

Schumer has had the Dims in the Senate vote against 14 bills to reopen.

SCHUMER SHUTDOWN

Why is no one willing to hold any politician accountable for bills that continue to add to the debt?

Let's be clear, in an open vote GOP ain't placing massive Health Insurance increases on the American people...

The Leadership in the MAGA is far more authoritarian than any thing in Democrats...

The 'consequences' for going against Trump is first the verbal diatribe from Trump, a contest in the primary and contestant receiving huge financial backing from billionaire club... It is a death nail...

Compare that to Democrats, a lot of Democrats were lukewarm warm about Mandani... But was there hate filled messages of him being a traitor? No... Concern that this maybe too far but a willingness to listen...

Nice Try...

How can Dems introduce bills so GOP can block them...

In the polls GOP is suffering no matter how much spin they put on it...

A majority of Amercians want to keep the Insurance subsidises... MAGA wanted urber rich to get that money... So You keep shilling for Billionaire class who are bribing, sorry financing, this administration...

The people have seen through they party for the rich and connected... The Trump Admin is just a grift.... The guys paying for the ballroom get billions in tax breaks...

Trump doesn't know a guy who set up a deal which he makes $80m a year... what a scam....

Trump claims he knows nothing about a guy who was the banker of ISIS and Al Qaeda... He doesn't give a ****, you pay enough, you get off... Everything is for sale..

How much would next year's budget be in order to not add to the debt?

Or would you ask for tax increases to cover typical spending?

What is a viable alternative to adding to the debt?

Didn't Trump just reduce medical costs by getting big Pharma to reduce costs on the weight loss drugs Wegovy and Zepbound?

You used to care.

So, my spouse and I have both been on a drunken spending spree. But now one of us has wised up. It's up to the wise one to hold the still drunken one accountable. No more credit increases until we agree on a plan to stop heading toward bankruptcy.

That would be great, if there was the slighear possibility that the Democrats would be willing to change their spending after they got exactly what they wanted from the Republicans to enable more spending.

Won't happen. No way. Not even in the realm of possibility. We will exceed the speed of light and develop capability to time travel, before the Democrats will ever want to slow down spending.

I'm not a government accountant. It would of course depend on what they spent.

If needed. If they want to spend, pay for it.

Not adding to the debt.

Brilliant!

Without specifics on who will pay the increase and whose programs will be cut, "not adding to the debt" is more whine than plan.

You used to care.
Weird that you go back in my history like that.

Neither Dems, nor Republicans, including voters and donors of both parties, would ever agree to a couple of decades of austerity so that we could have a balanced budget.

Don't be stupid. One does not have to present a 400 page budget proposal to make an arguement.

" I dismiss your argument as you did not present a completed budget for it"

Get over yourself.

Why is it weird? You were for a balanced budget under Democrats but now you aren't under Republicans. Typical.
