Because it would be a lot more damaging to find out how she went from a net worth of around $65,000 to $millions. Her husband's tax and income statements are loaded with irregularities - including unverifiable sources of income.
This has been known for some time. But in her state she is immune to investigations, because no one there is the least bit interested in it.
