Zone1 Ideas to help motorcycle safety

How about car drivers stay off the roads if they are so awful, pathetic and idiotic they can't spit a bike which is beyond easy to see. And if the said drivers cause an accident lock em up.

High VIz clothing will not save many lives, if any at all. The proper rider mindset is the ultimate protection is to ride as though everyone else on the road is out to get you. It worked for me, and I do the same when bicycling now.

Motorcycles and scooters may become more common as fuel becomes more expensive. When cars are scarce and nobody has the money to go past 50 mph, two wheels and public transit may be the basic options for most commuters.

The riders in danger are these E bike riders... you can't hear them coming and they travel at pretty high speeds...
I have been riding motorcycles all my life... and I would never take an E bike outside of a bike lane on the street....

You could not see the garbage truck if it were not for strobe lights?

Not the point....you can easily see the garbage truck, but they still have strobes.....and those strobes are not a problem for other drivers.....so they would be even more effective for hard to see motorcycles and scooters, especially at night.

We had a great day here in the NW yesterday. We took a short jaunt into Canada for lunch. Beautiful, temps in the high 70s and mid 50s up high but that was only about 30 minutes.

I drove a bright red Jeep for years and got rear ended four times in that vehicle while at a complete stop.

If they couldn't see that with brake lights on, they sure as hell aren't seeing a safety vest on a motorcycle.
Many construction workers have died with those vests on from idiots we let on the road.

Drivers testing requirements are simply pathetic and a downright joke in every state.
You keep getting rear-ended. Gay?
