n the People's Republic of Iceland, abortion has now nearly eradicated all Down Syndrome babies by close to 100 percent, according to a new report from CBS.
"[F]ew countries have come as close to eradicating Down syndrome births as Iceland,” the report begins. “Since prenatal screening tests were introduced in Iceland in the early 2000s, the vast majority of women — close to 100 percent — who received a positive test for Down syndrome terminated their pregnancy.”
LifeNews reports that "just a handful of children with Down syndrome have been born in Iceland in the past decade. Two are born each year, on average, but the rest are killed in the womb. For most of the children who were born, their mothers decided not to have prenatal screening tests."
Iceland hospital counselor Helga Sol Olafsdottir said in a CBS interview that she has no qualms with the fact Down Syndrome babies are being turned into members of an unfit class. She called it a “woman’s choice."
The interviewer prodded, “In America, I think some people would be confused about people calling this ‘our child,’ saying a prayer or saying goodbye or having a priest come in — because to them abortion is murder.”
