If leftists can explain to us why citizens are suffering whereas illegal aliens are given top notch services from food, housing, medical, education, etc, then perhaps an exception for those like her.She was here illegaly but not a criminal if she was brought here at age 8. What exactly did you expect her to do? While I am all for enforcement of immigration and laws, I think we all still have the ability to discern. While illegal immigration IS a crime, just like every other crime, they are all not prosecuted exactly the same depending on the situation or degree.
Seeing as she is basically an American as its mainly the only country she has known, I dont see a problem if she was granted a special consideration for citizenship.
Secondly I think the article says she chose to self deport, so why say she is choosing to remain a criminal?
The ICE organization continues to roll through this country and make us all safer. I am not sure how high the criminal element is in female honor roll nursing school students with scholarships to college who have been in the US since they were 8 but I suspect it is really really high. As a Charlotte resident I am feeling safe already.

Well an honor roll student would be smart enough to know that most stories are going to feature blatant ridiculousness like this story and not an average kid that you just going to say "**** them" to.It must be pretty easy to get on the honor roll in some places. Every student of any kind that was ever in the news is on the honor roll. Itās gonna be pretty crowded in there.
The bottom line is, if you came here illegally then you should have never been here in the first place. The ICE organization continues to roll through this country and make us all safer. The reason you all are claiming we should circumvent the asylum laws is because of criminals. How are you safer with her in jail for 6 months? The bottom line is, if you came here illegally then you should have never been here in the first place.
If you cross the border illegally you shouldn't be eligible to claim asylum. The reason you all are claiming we should circumvent the asylum laws is because of criminals. How are you safer with her in jail for 6 months?
she didnt need to go to jail,, that was her choice when she refused to go back home,,The reason you all are claiming we should circumvent the asylum laws is because of criminals. How are you safer with her in jail for 6 months?
Irrelevant. It's like saying we should allow 1 million El Salvadorians and then ask how does 1 million El Salvadorians make you less safe. The reason you all are claiming we should circumvent the asylum laws is because of criminals. How are you safer with her in jail for 6 months?
No problem. Adios muchacha. The ICE organization continues to roll through this country and make us all safer. In inner-city shitholes, if you don't assault someone you're pretty much assured honor role status and a DEI job when you finish school even semi-literate.^^^ supports fraud and slavery
Why can't leftists see that? If you aren't invited to someone's home, you are trespassing and illegally occupying. The owner can tell you to leave any time. If you refused to leave, then the owner have the right to get you out, except in places where leftist believe anyone can entitle to own your home.she didnt need to go to jail,, that was her choice when she refused to go back home,,
in fact she is or will be deported so she is no longer in jail,,
WINNING!!!
make no mistake they see it and understand it,,Why can't leftists see that? If you aren't invited to someone's home, you are trespassing and illegally occupying. I often hear the complaints from the right wing sector, saying stuff like "illegal aliens are given top notch services from food, housing, medical, education" What is the truth on services being given out for free to illegal aliens? If leftists can explain to us why citizens are suffering whereas illegal aliens are given top notch services from food, housing, medical, education, etc, then perhaps an exception for those like her.
What say does an 8 year old have in it?The bottom line is, if you came here illegally then you should have never been here in the first place.
People left the DemoKKKrat party years ago, they now go by the name of Conservatives, Patriots, or RepubliKKKans. You'd have to leave the DemoKKKrat party, but is that so bad?
Which one is you?People left the DemoKKKrat party years ago, they now go by the name of Conservatives, Patriots, or RepubliKKKans.

Key word here is federal. Look at the cost incurred against Chicago, NYC, and CA. If they don't get much, NYC and Chicago wouldn't cry about budget crisis under Biden.I often hear the complaints from the right wing sector, saying stuff like "illegal aliens are given top notch services from food, housing, medical, education" What is the truth on services being given out for free to illegal aliens?

Thatās a really good and important question, because thereās a lot of rhetoric around it, and the reality is more nuanced than the slogans suggest.
Hereās a breakdown of what undocumented immigrants in the U.S. actually can and cannot access in terms of government services and benefits:
1. Federal Public Benefits
- Most federal benefits are off-limits to undocumented immigrants.
They are not eligiblefor programs like:
- Social Security
- Medicare/Medicaid (full benefits)
- Food stamps (SNAP)
- TANF (cash welfare)
- Section 8 housing vouchers
- Obamacare subsidies
Federal law (the 1996 Welfare Reform Act) explicitly bars undocumented immigrants from these programs.2. Emergency Medical Care
- Under EMTALA (Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act), hospitals must treat anyone who shows up in an emergency room, regardless of immigration status or ability to pay.
- This is not the same as comprehensive free healthcare. It only covers stabilization and emergency delivery of babies, not ongoing treatment or medications.
- Some states use Medicaid funds to cover emergency-only services for undocumented people, but thatās limited.
3. Public Education (Kā12)
- In Plyler v. Doe (1982), the Supreme Court ruled that states must provide free public education through high school to all children, regardless of immigration status.
- This is one of the major āservicesā undocumented children receive, but the Courtās reasoning was that punishing children for parentsā actions would be unconstitutional and harmful to society.
4. Food & Housing Assistance
- Not available at the federal level to undocumented adults.
- Some local charities, churches, and nonprofits provide food pantries, shelters, or housing help, but thatās not government ātop-notchā serviceāitās usually minimal, temporary aid.
- Some states and cities with āsanctuaryā policies (like California, New York, Illinois) provide limited state or local assistanceāfor example:
- State-funded health insurance for undocumented children (California, NY).
- Some rental assistance programs during COVID.
- School lunch programs (since they apply to all students regardless of status).
5. Taxes & Contributions
- Many undocumented immigrants pay taxes:
- Payroll taxes (using fake or borrowed Social Security numbers, or IRS-issued ITINs).
- Sales taxes, property taxes (directly if they own homes, or indirectly through rent).
- Studies (like from the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy) show undocumented immigrants contribute billions annually in taxes, but cannot claim most of the benefits those taxes fund.
6. Military, Social Security, & Retirement
- They cannot receive Social Security retirement benefits, even if theyāve paid into the system for years using a false SSN.
- Some military service was open to certain undocumented immigrants under special programs, but thatās rare and limited.
Bottom line:
I often hear the complaints from the right wing sector, saying stuff like "illegal aliens are given top notch services from food, housing, medical, education" What is the truth on services being given out for free to illegal aliens?
- Undocumented immigrants do receive Kā12 schooling and emergency medical care.
- Some states/cities provide limited extra help (healthcare for kids, local aid).
- But they are barred from nearly all federal welfare, housing, and healthcare programs.
- The idea that they get ātop-notch free servicesā across the board is more of a political talking point than a reflection of policy reality.
