Holy shit. :) He, I think, is out spending Soros foundation. He was neutral until that stupid interview on X with, I believe, Cuomos proving giving the Progressive nutcases a fair chance is a waste of time.

Both parties are in thrall of big money. The Soroses and Musks of the world control the agenda. It is just the way it is.

Oh so now that's the song you sing when someone with fuck you money decides to help the gop?

Got it!
No, I have said the same thing since the Citizen’s United case. Dark money has too much influence in both parties. I guess from your comment you’re fine with this dark money. The system is in need of serious reform.

Yeah, I'll agree with you that the CU decision sucked-ass sure enough.

That said it still does not negate my FU money post. ;)

Between Soros and Musk - Musk is an angel.
Soros just apparently hates America, hates people in general and just wants to create chaos. There is no other explanation for where he puts his money.
For instance, in 2021-2022, he gave millions and millions into finding, then financing prosecutors in races all over America who were willing to refuse to prosecute crime. Soros alone is a major key in why crime has increased. And don't give me the bullshit "crime is down" statistics. crime is "down" because these prosecutors will not prosecute.

dark? I don't believe they give the candidate this money but puts it in a pak which they are free to do so since we live in a free society. I believe there is a cap on individuals giving campaigns money?

The problem is what is the better solution?

Once you give someone the hard ability to regulate something like this, you will be subject to the whims of the regulators.

With the biased federal bureaucracy, you know which side they will gun for.

A free for all is better than a partisan based regulatory situation.

NPR always preaches the democratic side knowing full well if the republicans ever got their say they would be de funded, for example. The so called mass media is all in bed with the progressives and you guys bitch about Fox News being too far right. FYI I hate Fox and other existing right wing news because they always have to prattle on about legislating religions which makes me afraid of allowing them to be in control Sean Hannidy would outlaw porn btw. With the internet we now have a lot more choices and are not limited to the so called mass media any longer.

The thing is the hard right loses a lot of it's moderate support when they go too far.

The left doesn't have as much of a problem with that.

The hard pro-lifers lose many of the "We hate Roe on Constitutional grounds" people when they go for the full or 6 week bans, as well as those who are more OK with a 10-15 week ban.

That's a lot of money! I guess only a billionaire can afford to buy a billionaire.

the lefts unwillingness to compromise on abortion is a problem. I don't understand what is wrong with expecting abortions prior to 17 weeks. With all of our choices we have now there is only one excuse to have one after 16 weeks, being to save the life of the mother. You expect the Republicans to compromise when they consider abortion is equal to murder. so who is being unreasonable now?

Some consider it murder, more consider it a dick move, but only when used as a birth control option.

10-15 weeks for birth control abortions. That covers rape. At any time for the life of the mother, but honestly in the last trimester just doing a C Section would fix that in 99% of the cases. Removing a dead or non-viable fetus isn't an abortion to me, it's just helping along a stillbirth.

Difference here is musk isn't a political agenda pusher or figurehead. When he said he bought Twitter to make it a place for free speech he actually did that as it's full of all kinds of people saying what they want good and bad. He has always been about america and freedom. Elon is a middle of the road guy, the only reason he is with Republicans now is the democrats went so far left that by default he is now a Republican, he didn't change his stances, the democrats changed it for him. His beliefs at one point were of the democrats but now what was once a democrat is now a Republican.

Soros on the other hand is a major player in the world economic forum and been a part of great reset, pushed oppressive agendas, funds a ton of democratic politicians and district attorneys that in the end don't prosecute criminals and their decisions don't do anything but erode the fabric of society, he is a part of the people saying America's independence is over and we will rule with other countries, we shouldn't eat meat except as a treat, and pretty much fundamentally hates the western countries.

Musk wants to be left alone to launch his rockets and sell his EV's.

I have a feeling he will be one of the people going Mars when SpaceX is ready for it.

I guess restricting all donors to a set and reported dollar amount was not grifty enough. :dunno:

Remember the scrambling state .govs had to do around eminent domain laws around the same time? That SCOTUS decision sucked ass too.

Texas sure liked it though so if you ever own property in TX that somebody else wants you are fucked.

SCOTUS is not infallible.
