I respectfully disagree with family members

that this shooting was unjustified. I don't know if this subject has been posted, but I just saw it. It is so easy to display cool logic in hindsight, but I believe this woman was determined for 'death by cop' and willing to go the distance until she got what she asked for. And the tragedy is that both officers involved will probably hesitate next time they are faced with a similar situation, and it could be deadly. Cops are not psychiatrists or psychologists, they are law enforcers. The family couldn't handle the situation, so instead of an ambulance and psych ward, they called the cops. The conclusion was a given.

Cops are not going to risk their lives trying too long to reason with someone with a gun, nor should they.

Cops love killing people. Especially the mentally ill.

Point a gun at the cops and get shot. She appears to be smarter than some here because she certainly knew it.
