I remember when.....

I think about this way to much.

I remember when Whatchamacallit, Chunky, Cabbage Patch Kids, New Coke, Lunchables, Cookie Crisp cereal, the Susan B. Anthony dollar, and Reese's Pieces first came out.

VCRs had 13 channel capability, microwaves prety much had one setting, and both were really expensive.

If you wanted a diet soda, you were drinking a Tab.

If someone got Aids, they just bought some diet chocolate candy.

Sitting in my freshman year health class and the teacher asking, "Who can tell me what AIDS is? No, I'm not talking about the diet candy." Nobody knew.

TV dinners in an aluminum tray with tin foil covering. Definately not microwave safe.

Wow. You have reached full geezerhood! I am only in training.
I'll mentor you if you like...takes practice to get really crochety like Mr. P or Dillo, but I try to keep up with them.

Having a teenage daughter at my age speeds things up a bit. It's not so much a matter of practice as it is endurance, and a large supply of nitro and valium pills.

I took pictures out of magazines and papered my walls with the things. I actually had more, but those were the major ones.
