Homelessness is a result of overpopulation. We just don't need that many people in the workplace anymore. And with more AI on the horizon it will only get worse. We need fewer people with more education and skills, but we're getting more people, with less education and fewer skills.

So, the question remains; is there intelligent life...on earth?

We have a surplus of college educated office workers and a lack of blue collar workers with practical skills. Homeless with addictions may be too late to start learning those skills, but there is some hope for the young, healthy, and working homeless who are still capable of learning. We will need to find workers somewhere as globalization ends.

Most new job creation is crappy part time service stuff. Only so many engineering jobs, programming jobs, etc., and of course companies will always cry 'labor shortage!!!' bullshit so they can get green cards and big govt subsidies for 'job training' and not have to train their own employees like most businesses did in the past. As for 'skilled trades' criminal illegal aliens have pushed out citizens and honest employers for decades now, so if they ever stop that it will be a self-inflicted shortage caused by the labor racketeers. We have over 340,000,000 people here now; nobody cried 'labor shortages' when we had 120,000,000, then 200,000,000. Nowadays if you're over 35 and a legal citizen you're unemployable at a lot of companies.
