Okay, so I just figured out that if one keeps desktop icons to a minimum, the more space there is for browsers and windows!
I had 'em all over the place, then moved 'em over to the left and lined 'em up nice. 20% bigger browser space.
There is a taskbar, but no. :nono:

PRO TIP:

Create a folder on your Desktop and call it "Holding".

Move all the junk from your Desktop to the one folder on your desktop.

Enjoy the more open space while everything else is just one click away.

Thank me later.

Or just add more RAM. 16 Gigs at least for Windows 11.
Can't add more RAM. Doesn't work. :dunno:
There's probably some out there that works by now, but I'm not doin' it.
I already have enough to double it, and in theory it should work, but it doesn't.

I haven't had an icon shortcut on my desktop for 25 years. Start, then scroll, is much faster because of alphabetical order. I can still remember co-workers, whom I guess thought that he with the most icons wins, searching for one.

32" screen here and I always have apps I use often to the left side going back to 95
