I love movies, it's my favourite downtime activity. I prefer movies with a great plot that I can discuss with someone, dissect the movie down and bounce ideas. It's boring watching movies alone, it doesn't achieve much more than kill time, it's not much entertainment especially as most movies are predictable.

The only positive is I am able to watch many documentaries of my choice and since I prefer non-fiction, this is good. It's just boring as hell though. I don't know how people do it quite frankly.

Netflix has ruined movies. I haven't seen a good movie in god knows how long. A good comedy. A good action film. A good western. It's like all independent films now. Lots of talking.

Oh, and because of things like videos online, we have very short attention spans. You'll see kids at the movies looking at their phones. They can't watch a movie for 1.5 hours. Short videos. Snapchats.

I have a hard time following mystery movies. I don't know why. I'm probably stupid.

No, it's because they are slow and there's a long boring build up with way too much dialog. I only like mysteries if they have great scenes along the way. Scare me every once in awhile. Or something crazy has to happen. This is why I like Tarrantino or the Cohen Brothers. Their movies you want to watch because every scene is good.

What movies do you consider Mystery Movies?

Looks Who's Back. Hitler wakes up in the 21st century. The more is more an indictment of the media than the Adolf.

I watched a 15 minute interview with the book's author, Timur Vermes. Very thought provoking.

The movie is not really a comedy to me, but has some very funny parts.

Check this out. It's a vid of one minute. Hitler is transported in time. He is so smart that he quickly figures things out, including this situation:

Well, aren't mysteries supposed to build up? And I could see wanting less dialogue in a mystery.

Last mystery movie I saw was Knives Out. It was very good, but I had a hard time following it.

I heard the Cohen Bros are very particular about the way lines are read. You have to do it exactly the way they like. Or so I have heard.
