I have no problem with the new rule........'We do not allow posts that include racial slurs, pejoratives, or religiously bigoted statements.

Those that need examples of words/phrases that could be considered a slur, depending on context, take a look here:
"10% off" is a racial slur?
Damn, every retail store I've ever been in is racist...

Does the site automatically block those words?
I don't know? When I was a mod well over a decade ago, we did not have that capability or did not use it, and us mods did the removal manually and one on one with the poster if necessary....and issued warnings or bans, manually....again, if necessary.

There's your answer. Not sure why anyone can get in trouble for words that are automatically filtered. Odd, that.

Those with common sense would know that context determines what is considered a racial slur.

I was banned once for using the term 'boyo'.......simply because the mod did not know what it meant. Just a Irish term for friend. I do not think that particular mod is still around but she was for a very long time....everyone said she was a nice person but just overly liberal and not well educated.

One ex mod liked to use the slur "princess" against a female Jewish poster.

Most people realize that Jewish American Princess is a term used by antisemite to further the canard that Jews are privileged.

There's a few people here that try to get creative with the spelling of those words. Some of them get upset when they get a warning for trying to circumvent the word filter. Color me surprised!

Calling someone Jeremy Hunt is ok though because he's a UK politician. No circumnavigation of the rules there ;)

Good question! For example is "White Boy" a racial slur? How about "Black Boy"? :confused-84:

A new rule?

Which racial slurs are prohibited?

Lets have a list of them
If I type out the n-word, which I have no desire to do, we know it will get auto-edited to just a few asterisks.

But, a filter bypass on that word will get you a ding.

But to your point: if someone assumes that I’m a white dude, and tries to abuse me with a racist term like “cracker” or “honky,” no asterisks and no consequences.

Happily, I don’t give a crap about anyone who is that racist.

While we are pearl clutching about protected class of insult let’s be mindful that liberals advocate the murder of Trump every single day here.!

The N word is prohibited,

and I think the C word, and i believe the P word is prohibited when calling another person such???

prohibited words, when spelled correctly, should be censored automatically.
With that in mind, "does it count" if it is not fully displayed?
