and that water IS being contained.

If the radioactivity was contained ... why is the local area radioactive now? ...

What are these "technical issues" with using sodium? ... it melts at 98ºC (at 1 atm pressure) ... so we'd be using the same temperature range ... it's more expensive, that's why we haven't built them ...
