Well, I didn't hear about it, as I was out of state, picking up a motorcycle. If I had known, I would have stopped in and got one. I could have done it safe, since i was packin locked and cocked, due to going out of state and carry cash.

Working convenience stores and alcohol stores are at higher risk than working as an explosive expert, cop, or fireman. And yet, the employees don't get paid any more than minimum wage!!!

I use to carry 5 figure cash deposits to the bank right through downtown San Diego at night and never even thought I'd need a weapon...,..
This situation with crime is really bad today... its becoming the number one concern for the country...
And yet people just roll over and accept it....

I don't. I do accept the fact, that if you need a cop, they are always 5 minutes or more away in situations that may be over in 2.

I have forever been trying to figure out why my state, Michigan, has the highest Slurpee consumption in the United States. Even in the Southern third we have maybe three months of hot weather--or "hot" for you Southerners.

But I guess we do love metabolic syndrome so there's that

Chattanooga and Nashville have a few .....we're lucky to be in east TN .....you're not missing anything anyway

I don't. I do accept the fact, that if you need a cop, they are always 5 minutes or more away in situations that may be over in 2.

Some blue cities you can get a pizza faster than a cop or an ambulance...

Some blue cities you can get a pizza faster than a cop or an ambulance...

Probably has something to do with the fact you can get better service and a rep as someone who tips well for fast good service, but you can get jail time for throwing around money to influence the service of the cops. About all you can do, is keep a congenial supportive relationship with the beat cops in your neighborhood, but that helps you not, if away from home or the regular beat cops are tied up on something else. You just need the knowledge of the law and the where with all to handle yourself in your own defense without incurring liability beyond your means, sometimes.

I'm in a relatively smaller West Tennessee City. Some places need more, some the same, others possibly less, but hiring local cops, budgeting for them, their equipment, training, healthcare, retirements, etc. is the most real of local election issues possible.
